Week #12 ● Before and After

I'm absolutely in love with these pages so I'm super excited to share them with you guys, sorry they're a little late. They're extremely busy but to me it's an organised mess I promise!

I have had assignments every week for 4 weeks and another 3 more weeks to come so my pages have been so busy which I personally really like. I tend to write down every little thing I have to remember just so I have it down somewhere ha!

Here is what they looked like before I got my hands on them:

And this is after:

I  hadn't even realised it was St.Patrick's day on the Monday it was just a coincidence that I decided to use green for this week ha! Just love the cute little stickers I used for these pages I've had them for years but never wanted to use them, I've finally found something to use them for :)

Week #11 ● Before and After

I'm really sorry this post is late but as you can see from these pages and the Week 12 pages I'm going to upload after this, I've been ridiculously busy and I will be busy until Uni finishes for Easter.

I've been really loving this these blue/mint colours recently and I love the way these pages came out, lots of lovely stickers and molang post it notes :)

So here is before I used the pages:

And here is what they look like once I've used them:

Let me know what you think of my Week 11 pages it's sad that the blues contrast so badly with my Raspberry Metropol, it's making me even more tempted to treat myself to the new Willow personal Filofax that was released with the spring collection UH-OH ;) The wonderful Amanda has just done a fantastic review of it ( which clearly didn't help me ) you can read it HERE

If you want to know where I got any of the supplies let me know in the comments :)

Review of KawaiiShopJapan • Memo Pad Haul

I finally got around to ordering from the wonderful Kawaii Shop Japan recently and I wanted to do a review on my Blog and my YouTube because I'm so happy with my order. To see the pages in more detail check out my review video :)

So I ordered memo paper from her shop because I'd never bought myself a pad and I was dying to get my hands on some of the new designs San-X released. I got two large pads and four mini ones:

They all came in perfect condition and were shipped really securely I was very impressed. The package also came in only 7 days all the way from Japan which is incredible.

I also got a more mini memo papers as extra I was so surprised with how many I got to be honest, not going to lie I was very excited ha!

Overall I think it is well worth buying from Kawaii Shop Japan! Fast shipping, secure packaging, extras and wide range of products. What more could you ask for really??

I'm actually selling small packs of 25 mini memo sheets on my Etsy which include a lot of the designs in these memo pads so go check it out on my shop here if you're interested :)

Like I said if you want to see things in more detail watch my video review:

Cupcake Charm Update ● Jan & Feb 2014

I really want to make these cupcake updates a monthly thing as I am trying to do the 1,000 cupcake challenge where you have to make 1,000 cupcake charms in 2014.

I'm not actually doing as bad as I thought but most of the cupcakes I make are for orders in my shop which means I won't actually be able to hold 1,000 cupcakes in my hands at the end of the year & it's going to be hella hard to count them ha!

I thought this would be a fun easy way to keep track and to share them all with you guys in more detail :)

Here are the cupcakes that I've been making in January and February:

(Sorry the lighting is so bad the weather was horrific so my natural lighting disappeared T _ T )

These ones below are my favourites out of the bunch! ^ _ ^

Like I said I've been doing a lot of custom orders so here are the cupcakes I made for those:

I just love the icing on the blue one at the front !

So I hope you enjoyed seeing all the cupcakes I've made so far this year, there are some missing... ones that I don't particularly like ha! Leave me a comment requesting a cupcake you'd like to see me make, I'd love some new ideas!

CUPCAKE COUNT: 21

My New Addiction ● Filofax

Yep it's official I'm addicted to Filfoax. I would say Filofax's but sadly I only own one at the moment, comes with being a poor lowly student ha!

I know a lot of my viewers on YouTube are from the ages of 10-15 and diaries/planners are probably something you barely use and if you do it's only to keep track of boring school homework but if you do ever find yourself needing one I want you to push all your crafting urges into it because I cannot stop decorating mine!

I just love all the pens and tapes and stickers and inserts and .... ahhh! I just love it, doesn't help I already had an existing addiction to stationary before hand but oh well!

Here are a few examples of what I have done with my next two weeks (I've blurred out some things for security reasons). You can see my 'wonderful' assignments have already been sketched in for next week T _ T

So those are some blank sheets, I wanted to next show you what happens when I get my hands on them. This is from last week and as you can see it's a mess. Most people probably wouldn't be able to live with a planner like this however this is my kind of organised mess!

So this is my first filofax post and I'd love to hear your feedback on whether you want more! The filofax community here on the web is just amazing and I'd really love to be a part of it :)

Thanks for reading, please leave a comment letting me know what you think of my planner!

The Little Things ...

This is going to be a bit of a personal post and I doubt there will be much of a response to this but I'd really love it if you guys would stick with this post and read till the end. I've been wanting to write this blog post for a while now so... No time like the present I suppose!

So I've been a bit down for the last few weeks (nothing serious don't worry) about a lot of small things and the problem with small things is that they all creep up on you at once rather than one huge big issue that stares you straight in the face.

I realise no ones life is easy and we all face different issues, what troubles me may not even be half as worrying as something one of you lovely people are going through and vice versus. If you're anything like me and when you're sad or upset you'd prefer to sit in your bed watching TV shows and eating your body weight in junk food until you die of either a heart ache or old age then this may help you. However I do think this is a universal thing so if you're more sensible than me and prefer to talk about your feelings this will work just fine for you guys too!

I just want everyone to focus on the little things (no not the one direction song), it's very hard to just suddenly feel better and I respond very badly to cliches like 'plenty of fish in the sea' or 'time heals all wounds' or 'just try you're hardest that's all the counts' or 'as long as you try your best we'll be proud' because those are things people just say to make you feel better for that tiny window they're with you.

Focusing on the little things however is a personal thing specific to you it's what makes you happy! What makes you smile or laugh or giggle is not what someone else will need to cheer them up. I'll give you a few examples of things that make me happy even though they are so tiny and insignificant.

At my universtiy and many others there is a free bus service that runs between the two campuses so that students can get to and fro without spending any money. It's a very odd thing to notice but I've been noticing it for a while now and it makes me smile every time I see this. The shuttle buses for the uni run regularly so you tend to meet the bus coming the opposite direction on the other side of the road and every single time no matter the mood of the driver, the weather outside, the time of day, the gender of the driver they will always raise their hands and give a small wave and a smile to the driver of the other bus. Everytime, all day long no matter whether they've seen that bus two minutes earlier or not. It may just be me but it puts a smile on my face and it cheers me up only slightly and it's not just here at uni I've noticed it all over the place!

Here is a list of other random things that make me smile:
-The video of a manatee swimming into a glass window on YouTube
-The fact that my boyfriend keeps saying Dominos (pizza) instead of Doritos (crisps) and he doesn't even realise he's doing it.
-The comments my subscribers leave me on all of my social networking sites
-Japanese cooking videos even though I'm the pickiest person ever and can barely eat a normal meal without asking to have something changed.
-Storage containers even though I never use them all
-Seeing someone I barely know walking past me but always smiling to say Hello just because it's friendly.
-Notebooks I will never write in because they're too pretty
-Hearing my parents reactions down the phone when I call and say 'Hey Mum it's Rufus'

The point is there are thousands of small unique things that make you smile and you may just be looking straight past them. Remember to stop for a second on the bus, the walk to school, in a lecture, at work or in your room. Take a deep breath and decide to ignore your problems just for a second and find something that doesn't matter in the slightest to brighten your day.

I love you guys so much.
Thank you for listening.

Etsy Re-Open

So I just re-opened my Etsy shop (KawaiiStudios) and I'm really excited about this. I've been working really hard to improve my Shop and my YouTube. Of course I decide to do this just as University is getting really busy but it always happens, I procrastinate from school work by opening my shop up and giving me more work ha!

I absolutely adore having a shop I love all the business cards, notes, bubble wrap etc. it's like a stationary freaks heaven ha!

Been trying to mass produce these little cuties, what do you guys think? :)
